Musketeer Diestelback has a hard life under his master sergeant Krause, who is also interested in his darling Emma Wacker. But a trick results in several days vacation and a good job as batman with lieutenant Gernsbach. The master sergeant is not pleased, but just as he wants to give Diestelbeck a good drill, he is lucky again: the prince will come for a visit and Diestelbeck is needed as stage director and actor.

The prince does not like official business but has met by chance a nice lady. He reaches his hotel incognito and selects the disguised Diestelbeck as adjutant. Diestelbeck achives to organise this stay to the prince's liking, and his award is the honorable discharge from the army.

This movie was prohibited in 1935 by the censurship because of despisement of the armed forces.

A funny movie from the "good old time", which shows military stupidity, court etiquette etc. wrapped in a nice package. If dictatorship prohibits something funny, this fun must be a real treath!
