Peterwardein. This was the largest Austrian fortress, called "Gibraltar on the Danube". On the foundations of Roman times, this fortress was build up starting 1692 over 100 years.

| Also the Peterwardein township below the fortress has lost all their military aspects. | The clock tower, insignia of the Austrian administration. It is the symbol of Novi Sad today. The specialty: to be more readable from far away, the large pointer shows the hour and the small one the minutes.
